The pot holder is a practical and versatile cooking accessory that makes cooking outdoors easier. The pot holder takes up hardly any space in your backpack and is ready for use in just a few seconds. It is compatible with many outdoor cookers/hobos. In particular with the Trangia cooker or our hobos ( FlexFire , StormFire ​​and LightFire ).

How to use and care for the outdoor pot cross correctly

To make the most of your outdoor pot cross and to enjoy it for a long time, please note the following instructions:

Use with Trangia

  1. Find a suitable fireproof surface. This should be level so that the Trangia stands stable. To protect the floor, we recommend using the FlexProtect fire protection mat .
  2. Fill the Trangia with spirit.
  3. Now put the pot cross together and place it in the Trangia.
  4. Make sure that the pot holder fits well in the Trangia and is not offset or caught.
  5. Now you can light the spirit with a fire starter .

  • Use with Hobo

    When using with a hobo, you can use the pot holders like the original ones. Make sure they are hooked in properly.

  • Cook

    Place your pot or pan on the outdoor pot cross so that it rests evenly on the four arms. Make sure that your pot does not tip over when stirring.

  • Dismantling

    Take the pot off the pot holder and extinguish the stove. If there is hardly any spirit left in the Trangia, you can simply let it burn out. Now it is best to wait a moment or take the FlexHold off the Trangia using a stick, fork or something similar. The pot holder is usually still hot, but after a few minutes you can touch it and put it away in your bag.

  • cleaning

    When used with a Spititus cooker, clean combustion means no soot is produced and you do not need to clean the FlexHold. If the pot holders are used over a fire, you can simply wash them or put them in the dishwasher if the soot bothers you.

Simply fold the two pot holders together and store them in the bag. If you ordered the pot holders without a bag, you can simply wrap them in a cloth. When transporting them, make sure that the pot holders do not bend. If this does happen, you can carefully push them back into shape.
